DeepSeek’s Search and Fetch APIs cost $0.75 per 1,000 successful requests. Server-side calls made through DeepSeek Harness, Claude Code or Codex are free until November 1, 2026, then billed at the same rate.

GPT-5.6 Sol promotional pricing guaranteed through this date
OpenAI says GPT-5.6 Sol’s promotional pricing ($4 input / $20 output per 1M tokens) is available at least through November 21, 2026.

Gemini 4 Argon introductory pricing ends
Gemini 4 Argon goes from $2 to $4 per 1M input tokens and from $10 to $20 per 1M output tokens. Cached input goes from $0.10 to $0.20; Batch, Flex and Priority rates double too.

Google’s Gemini 3.8 text-to-speech prices double
Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS goes from $0.50 to $1.00 per 1M text input tokens and from $9.00 to $18.00 per 1M audio output tokens (about $0.0135 to $0.027 per minute of audio). Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS goes from $6.00 to $12.00 per 1M audio output tokens. Batch, Flex and Priority rates double too.

Gemini 3.8 Flash introductory pricing ends
The standard price rises from $0.75 to $1.50 per 1M input tokens, from $0.075 to $0.15 per 1M cached input tokens and from $3.75 to $7.50 per 1M output tokens.

ChatGPT Pro 200 reopens to new subscribers, with less included usage
OpenAI again sells the $200 Pro plan to new subscribers, now with a lower usage allowance. People subscribed between September 22 and 29, 2026 keep the previous allowance through October 29. OpenAI now names the plans Pro 100, Pro 200 and Pro 500; Pro 500 adds GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast alongside GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast.

Cursor replaces its plans: Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200
Cursor is now sold as part of The X Subscription with Grok and X. Plus ($8) covers only Cursor’s own Grok and Composer models; Premium ($30) adds cloud agents, Bugbot and Claude, GPT and Gemini at API list price. Pro ($20), Pro+ ($60) and the previous Ultra become legacy plans for existing subscribers.

Gemini 4 Argon added
Google’s new flagship reasoning model costs $2 input / $10 output per 1M tokens through November 30, 2026, then $4 / $20. It is paid only, with no Gemini API free tier.

Claude Max plans now include monthly API credits
Claude Max 5x ($100) includes $100 a month in API credits for the Claude Platform and Max 20x ($200) includes $200. Team plans include up to $500 a month in pooled API credits.

Google retires Gemini 3.5 Flash in favor of Gemini 3.6 Flash
Requests to gemini-3.5-flash now route to Gemini 3.6 Flash, which costs $0.75 input / $3.75 output per 1M tokens through December 31, 2026 and $1.50 / $7.50 after, against $1.50 / $9 for Gemini 3.5 Flash.

Claude Haiku 5.5 added
Anthropic’s new Haiku costs $0.10 input / $0.50 output per 1M tokens for prompts up to 100K tokens and $0.50 / $2.50 above that, with a 1M-token context window. Claude Haiku 4.5 costs $1 / $5.

GPT-6.1 Sol added
OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Sol keeps GPT-6 Sol’s $2 input / $10 output per 1M tokens but halves cached input to $0.10. OpenAI describes it as near-Astra performance at a lower cost.

Claude Max now listed as two plans: Max 5x and Max 20x
Anthropic sells Max at $100 a month (5x Pro’s usage per five-hour session) and $200 a month (20x). We previously listed a single Max plan from $100.

ChatGPT Pro adds a $500 plan
Pro is now offered at $100, $200 or $500 a month. The $500 plan includes access to GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast mode.

Claude Sonnet 5.5 added
Anthropic’s new Sonnet 5.5 costs the same as Sonnet 5: $2 input / $10 output per 1M tokens, with a 1M-token context window. Claude Code now defaults to Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5.

Four new models added: GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna, Claude Opus 5.5 and Grok 4.7
GPT-6 Sol ($2 input / $10 output per 1M tokens) and GPT-6 Luna ($0.10 / $0.50) join OpenAI’s lineup, Claude Opus 5.5 arrives at $4 / $20 with cache reads at 5% of the input price, and Grok 4.7 matches Grok 4.6 at $2 / $6.

OpenAI removes Sora 2 and Sora 2 Pro from the API
The sora-2 and sora-2-pro video models and the Videos API were shut down on September 24, 2026, as announced in March. They had cost $0.10 and $0.30 per second of 720p video.

xAI X Search moves to per-result billing
From 12:00 PM PT, the X Search tool is billed at $5 per 1,000 posts fetched and $10 per 1,000 user profiles fetched, replacing $5 per 1,000 calls.

18 API models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and DeepSeek and 12 subscription and coding products, verified against official pricing pages and checked daily.

ChatGPT Pro $200 (20x) sign-ups paused
OpenAI paused new sign-ups and upgrades to the Pro $200 plan. Existing Pro $200 subscriptions and the Pro $100 plan are not affected.

Claude Sonnet 5 keeps its $2 / $10 price
Anthropic made Claude Sonnet 5’s introductory price of $2 input / $10 output per 1M tokens permanent. The increase to $3 / $15 scheduled for September 1, 2026 will not happen.

OpenAI renames Priority processing to Fast mode
Priority processing is now called Fast mode, selectable with service_tier “priority” or “fast”. Fast mode costs 2x the standard rate.
